In the early 2000s, the Swedish store Weekday was functioning in Stockholm as a denim-focused fashion destination, carrying high fashion and exclusive denim brands mixed with secondhand apparel. Much of Weekday’s denim was very expensive, and co-founder Orjan Andersson felt there was a need for cheaper, yet still fashionable jeans. Cheap Monday was born as an exclusive, in-store label with one style: ‘tight.’ In January 2005, the brand was developed into a full-scale line with multiple seasonal collections. “Cheap” is more than just a part of its name; high-level design paired with low prices is at the core of the brand. Cheap Monday’s collections include staple pieces like jeans and denim jackets that are high quality, yet lower priced than comparable fashion houses. Shop this all-inclusive brand below.
