Only the Lonely
Named after their favorite Roy Orbison song, the band's new album is inspired by their time on tour. "It captures so much of the attitude and personality you would get if you came to one of our shows," says lead singer Caleb Chapman.
Every JT t-shirt I’ve put on, I’ve instantly loved. They are extremely soft and fit perfectly… I especially love the Scallop Tee.
My brown Chelsea boots are absolutely my favorite JT piece. They’re really comfortable and the look is exactly what I’ve been wanting for a while — simple but really nice.
I have to feel comfortable in what I’m wearing. It sound funny to say, but if I'm wearing something that feels stiff or uncomfortable, my performance on stage seems to match that.
JT fits us well because we always feel dressed for the occasion, whether that’s on stage, back stage, loading up our van, or sleeping in it.
Meet The Band
We asked the guys to share some details about the new album, their favorite venues, and, of course, their personal style.
Performing at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado was a highlight for both drummer Will and lead singer/guitarist Caleb. Bass player Parke likes Southern California. "Encinitas is an amazing town," he says. "[It] embodies the type of beach life that I wish I could spend more time in."
On the Road
Staying sane and healthy on a 200-show tour seems like a challenge. "I go for a run every chance I get," says Parke. "And stealthily choose salads over burgers. NOTE: THIS IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT."
On their first experiences in a band: "I played drums in a metal band...enough said," says guitarist Scott. Brothers Caleb and Will named their first band Two Car Garage, "because Caleb lost his two front teeth and our Mom said it looked like a two car garage...That was a long time ago."
Rehearsing and performing means the band is on their feet a lot, so comfortable footwear is key. "I'm partial to boots," says Caleb. "Because they feel timeless and always necessary. Based off of my closet, it seems I stick pretty closely to two colors: black and brown." The Robert Lug is Caleb's boot of choice from JT.

Will's recent rotation includes the new Kings of Leon album and Anderson Paak. (Oh, and he's got a soft spot for Celine Dion.)
On the Album
"Touring can be a very lonely place," says Caleb. "As we started to see the theme of this album emerge, we wanted this loneliness to be something people could identify with in a healthy way...It's an album for only the lonely, which just so happens to be... all of us."
