The JackThreads Primaloft® Series
A collection of cold-weather layers boasting superior warmth on the inside and good looks on the outside. Made from water-resistant nylon in muted seasonal hues, each ringing in at under $150.
Developed to meet the military’s request for a water-resistant alternative to down insulation, Primaloft is as warm as down, but not as delicate. Comparable to down when dry and superior when wet, Primaloft retains 96% of its insulating capabilities (whereas down collapses) in damp conditions.
Washed Nylon Fabric
Made from water-resistant nylon (with a texture somewhere between Tyvek and washed paper) in muted colors. It's city-friendly, with stealthy, tech vibes.
How We Wear It
Just as warm as down, but more durable, in silhouettes that feel right for right now. Layer a bomber over a hoodie for a city-friendly look with mountain-ready warmth. Or try the Ives Vest under a trucker jacket to conquer weird, in-between temperatures.
Alpha Industries x JackThreads
Featuring a Vietnam-era blood chit (or identification flag) patch on the inside. Addressed to civilians, blood chit patches offered a reward for injured US airmen returned to American allies or military bases.
Burton x JackThreads: Year 2
In our second collaboration with Burton, we've applied functional details to heritage-inspired materials. The result: A capsule equipped for the woods or the city streets, and built for everyday use, no matter your routine.
Introduced nearly 25 years ago to appeal to Japanese tastes and a hunger for heritage Americana styling, the Columbia Japan Collection merges outdoor utility with outfit #goals.
